Biofloc is an innovative and cost effective technology in which toxic materials to the fish such as Ammonia, Nitrate and Nitrite is converted into proteinacious feed. It is the technology in the Aquaculture system with limited or zero water exchange under high stocking density but with strong Aeration system. Under PMMSY Guidelines Biofloc Setup is divided into 3 categories Small, Medium and Large Biofloc Setups. Small setup Contains 7 Tanks of 4 meter Dia 5 feet height with water capacity 15000 liters per Tank. Whereas Medium setup contains 25 Tanks of same size and Large setup contains 50 Tanks of same size and capacity.
